Panama City will obtain 8 metro lines by 2040

Business Panama ImageThe master plan for Panama Metro proposes eight lines by the year 2040, including line 1 already in use and line 2 in construction.

Totally Panama City metro system will contain up to 90 stations and will provide the transportation services to residents of metropolitan area of Panama City, including San Miguelito, Arraijan and La Chorrera.

The current update of the Master Plan was presented by the director of Metro Panama, Roberto Roy, during the 2016 Vision Forum.

The phase 1 of line 2 is currently being under construction. It will connect New Tocumen and San Miguelito areas.

The next government will be responsible for the completing line 3, which apparently will connect Albrook, Arraijan and La Chorrera.
