Panama Reforestation Residency Visa

You can invest the sum of $80,000.00 in a reforestation project authorized by the Authority of the Environment. After, the pensionado program, the reforestation residency is the most economical option to obtain residency in Panama.

If the applicants have dependents, the investment should be increased to $2,000.00 for each dependent, which can be justified local bank reference.

Once the visa petition is filed, a provisional residency permit, valid for a period of two years is granted to the applicants. At the end of the two-years period, the applicant may apply for the permanent residency. The permanent residency permit grants the applicant an additional foreign resident permanent ID Card and the right to apply for Panamanian Nationality after 8 years (which includes the initial 2 years of temporary residency).
